Dhaka:BNP Acting Secretary General and Prime Minister's Political Adviser Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi today emphasized the need for new strategies and effective management to tackle the persistent anarchy and illegal practices in the road transport sector.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Rizvi made these comments after honoring the graves of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar. He was accompanied by the newly elected leaders and activists of the Bangladesh Road Transport Workers' Federation.

Rizvi expressed optimism that the organization's new leadership will remain vigilant in eradicating the long-standing issues in road transport. He highlighted the potential of these leaders, who have a background in student politics, to introduce innovative solutions and ensure compliance with the law.

He further expressed hope that the new leadership will dismantle the entrenched 'mafia' culture within the sector. Rizvi believes that under this leadership, a new management system can be established, improving the current deteriorating conditions in the road transport sector.

Rizvi concluded that such changes will restore public trust, enhance security, and provide safer and more comfortable travel experiences for people.
