Accra:Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, the Acting Secretary General of the BNP, expressed profound sorrow today following the death of Dilara Begum, the mother of Tarikul Islam, a former acting chief reporter of the daily Jugantor and media coordinator for the spokesperson of the Prime Minister's Office.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Dilara Begum passed away this morning at the age of 67 after being admitted to a city hospital due to illness.
In his condolence message, Rizvi extended his deepest sympathies to Dilara Begum's family. He acknowledged her as a devout woman who was highly regarded by her neighbors. Rizvi also prayed for her soul's peace and for strength to be bestowed upon her family during this time of loss.
