Revenue Collection in July Witnesses 24.33% Growth

Dhaka: The revenue collection by the National Board of Revenue (NBR) witnessed a 24.33 percent growth in July, the first month of the current fiscal year (FY26).



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the NBR collected Taka 27,249 crore in July 2025, whereas the collection was Taka 21,916.08 crore in July 2024. However, the NBR’s overall revenue collection last month was Taka 2,861.96 crore lower than the fiscal target of Taka 30,110.96 crore.



As per the NBR data, the collection from the Customs Wing in July 2025 was Taka 9,602 crore, marking a growth of 17.52 percent. The collection from the VAT Wing was Taka 11,352 crore, reflecting a growth of 32.45 percent, while the collection from the Income Tax Wing was Taka 6,295 crore, with a growth of 21.65 percent.
