According to United News of Bangladesh, a circular issued by the ministry mandates that retailers will maintain their procurement of fertilisers from authorised main dealers. These fertilisers are to be sold to farmers at government-fixed prices, ensuring consistency and regulation in the market.
The circular, which was signed by Joint Secretary Dr Mohammad Jahangir Alam, confirms that the current system for the distribution and sale of chemical fertilisers through retail outlets will persist. This continuation aims to stabilise the supply chain and provide uninterrupted access to fertilisers for farmers across the region.
