Remittance Inflow Sees 19.8% Growth Till March 30

Dhaka: Remittance inflow grew by 19.8 percent year-on-year, reaching $26,076 million during July 1 to March 30 of the fiscal year 2025-26, according to Bangladesh Bank (BB) data issued today.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, last year, during the same period, the country received $21,761 million in remittances. This marks a significant increase in the financial contributions sent by expatriates to their home country.

During the first 30 days of March, expatriates sent home $3,622 million in remittances compared to $3,272 million in the same period of the previous fiscal year. This increase highlights the upward trend in remittance inflow, which plays a crucial role in the country’s economy.
