Remittance Inflow Rises by 25.38 Percent in First 7 Days of July

Dhaka: Inflow of remittances witnessed a remarkable year-on-year growth of 25.38 percent, reaching US$666 million in the first seven days of July.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, during the same period last year, the country’s remittance inflow was $531 million, as per the latest data from Bangladesh Bank (BB). Expatriate Bangladeshis sent a record $30.33 billion in remittances in the fiscal year 2024-25 (FY25), marking the highest amount ever received in a single fiscal year in the country’s history.

This figure reflects a 26.80 percent increase compared to the $23.91 billion received in the previous fiscal year (FY24).
