Remittance Inflow Records 13.5% Growth in Early September

Dhaka: Inflow of remittances witnessed a year-on-year growth of 13.5 percent, reaching $1,306 million in the first 13 days of September, according to the latest data of Bangladesh Bank (BB) issued today. Last year, during the same period, the country’s remittance inflow was $1,150 million.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, during the period from July to September 13, 2025, of the current fiscal year, expatriates sent remittances amounting to $6,205 million. This marks a significant increase compared to the $5,288 million received during the same period of the previous fiscal year.



The steady increase in remittance inflow is a positive sign for the country’s economy, reflecting the strong financial contribution of expatriates. The data provided by Bangladesh Bank highlights the vital role of remittances in supporting economic stability and growth.
