Recruitment of 3,475 Nurses Finalized, Posted: Health Secretary

Dhaka: The recruitment of 3,475 senior staff nurses has been finalized across the country, announced Health Services Division Secretary Md. Saidur Rahman. This development aims to enhance health services nationwide.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the recruitment process was completed to ensure a seamless provision of healthcare services to the population. Health and Family Welfare Adviser Nurjahan Begum and Chief Adviser’s Special Assistant on Health and Family Welfare Ministry Professor Dr. Md. Sayedur Rahman played significant roles in this transparent recruitment process.



Md. Saidur Rahman explained that the allocation of positions for the senior staff nurses was conducted digitally, considering their preferences and merit. The secretary expressed optimism that the newly appointed nurses would promptly report to their respective workplaces and commit themselves to patient care in hospitals.



A notification from the Health Services Division of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has been issued concerning the recruitment. It specifies that the newly appointed nurses must report to their designated hospitals and healthcare institutions on the morning of September 30, 2025. They are required to follow the joining letter template available on the Health Services Division and Directorate General of Nursing and Midwifery websites.
