Dhaka: Education Adviser Professor Dr. Chowdhury Rafiqul Abrar announced that this year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination results, set to be released tomorrow, will provide a true reflection of students’ merits.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Abrar emphasized in an exclusive interview at his office in the Bangladesh Secretariat that past practices of manipulating results to showcase governmental success will be discontinued. He highlighted that for the past 16 years, student marks were artificially boosted, facilitating government-organized photo sessions where education board chairmen presented results to the Prime Minister alongside the education minister.

Abrar stated that the interim government deems such formalities unnecessary and has directed education boards to ensure an accurate evaluation of exam papers. Moving forward, the chairmen of the respective education boards will announce the results from their offices, allowing students to access their results from home.

Furthermore, Abrar indicated that measures have been implemented to control the leakage of exam question papers, ensuring that students’ capabilities are genuinely reflected in their exams. He extended his gratitude to the education board officials and exam center personnel for their diligent efforts.

This year marks a departure from previous practices, ensuring that students receive proper evaluations. Abrar expressed optimism that this approach will persist, guaranteeing that students’ true talents are acknowledged through public examinations.
