Rajshahi: Administrator of Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC), Mahfuzur Rahman Riton, has announced plans to reshape Rajshahi city, emphasizing the opportunity given by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman to improve the lives of its residents. He expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister at a meeting organized by the RCC’s Engineering Department, stating, “Rajshahi is beautiful; it must be developed to become even more beautiful.”
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Riton highlighted the importance placed by the Prime Minister on Rajshahi’s development, expressing his commitment to work for the people of the city. He stressed the need for cooperation and adherence to government directives and laws to achieve the goal of reshaping the city.
Riton, addressing the meeting as the chief guest at the City Hall auditorium, emphasized RCC’s dedication to citizen services and accountability. He urged all involved to work diligently to ensure the provision of these services, emphasizing the importance of integrity and quality work to earn greater recognition.
The Administrator detailed plans to enhance civic facilities, including the construction of roads and drainage systems across all 30 wards of the city. He stressed the importance of completing the planned work schemes within the next 90 days. Riton also provided directives to maintain quality standards, complete unfinished work promptly, and accelerate ongoing development activities.
The meeting, chaired by RCC Chief Executive Officer Rezaul Karim, also featured presentations on the City Corporation’s ongoing development projects by Acting Superintending Engineer Ahmad Al Moein Parag. Key officials present included RCC Secretary Sohel Rana, Superintending Engineer Khairul Baker, Executive Engineers Mahmudur Rahman Imon, Nilufar Yasmin, and Asaduzzaman, along with assistant engineers, sub-assistant engineers, work assistants, and other concerned officials.
