The anti-discrimination student movement held a

protest march and rally in the city today demanding the removal of president

Md Sahabuddin Chuppu and the banning of Awami League and Chhatra League.

Tens of hundreds of students of different educational institutions of the

city gathered in College Road Lalbag area of the metropolis and participated

in the protest march this afternoon.

The procession passed through Lalbag and circled the main roads including

Khamar Mour, Chartala Mour, Shapla Chattar, Grand Hotel, Press Club Chattar,

Jahaz Company and participated in the protest rally at Press Club premises.

From the march, the students chanted slogans like ‘Dofa Ek, Dabi Ek, Chuppur

Podotyag’, ‘Ek Dui Tin Char, Chuppu Tui Godi Char’, ‘Dori Dhore Maro Tan,

Chuppu Hobe Khan Khan’, Chuppur Kalo Hat, Bhenge Dao, Guriye Dao’, ‘Mujibbad

Nipat Jak, Inqilab Zindabad’, ‘Chatroliger Dui Gale, Zuta Maro Tale Tale’,

‘Ekta Duita Lig Dhor, Dhoira Dhoira Bostay Bhor’, ‘Nishiddho Nishiddho, Awami

League Nishiddho
‘, ‘Swoiracharer Astana, Bhenge Dao Guriye Dao’, ‘Chatra

League-Jubo Leaguer Astana, Bhenge Dao Guriye Dao’, etcetera.

Rangpur representatives of anti-discrimination student movement Imran Ahmed,

Imtiaz Imti, Sajjad Hossain, Ali Hossain, Nahid Hasan Khandkar, Dr Jamil,

among others, addressed against the Awami conspiracy in the protest rally.

They said, for the past 16 years, Awami League had continued its fascist

activities in every government and private office in the country. Even though

fascist Sheikh Hasina fled, her allies are still trying to continue it.

Md Shahabuddin Chuppu, who is in the seat of the president after emerging

from the politics of Chhatra League, has indulged in this kind of wrongdoing.

Chuppu should be removed from the presidency immediately. The product of a

dictator is a threat to the state and people.

The aggrieved students said that the President has successfully embarked on a

mission to debunk the current interim government. The president has lost his

own acceptance
by being controversial and he should resign.

They alleged that the incumbent president is indulging in a misguided attempt

to rehabilitate the fallen Awami League with contradictory statements.

If he does not resign, then the situation will be like that of the fascist

Sheikh Hasina, they reminded.

They said the mafia organization Awami League and Chhatra League and all

other associate bodies responsible for murders, disappearances and terrorism

should be banned as soon as possible. The students of the country will not

accept their politics.
