Rangpur: The people of Rangpur are ready to observe Martyred Intellectuals Day-2025 with due respect and solemnity, paying tribute to the martyred intellectuals on Sunday. Marking the day, the district administration and various sociocultural organizations have organized programs to pay tribute to the martyred intellectuals by placing wreaths at the city’s Liberation War Memorial at the Town Hall Slaughterhouse in the morning.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the district administration has taken detailed programs to observe Martyred Intellectuals Day-2025 with dignity and solemnity. At the beginning of the programs, wreath-laying will take place at the Liberation War Memorial at 9:30 am. Following the wreath-laying, a discussion will be held at the Rangpur District Shilpokola Academy Auditorium at 10 am to commemorate the sacrifice of the martyred intellectuals.
On this day, special prayers will be offered at all places of worship, including mosques, temples, churches, and pagodas, at convenient times to seek forgiveness for the martyred intellectuals. Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Enamul Ahsan has called on everyone to be present on time to participate in the programs taken by the Rangpur district administration on December 14 (Sunday) next.
