Poet, journalist, and filmmaker Raju Alim and Sangbad Pratidin acting editor Rimon Mahfuz have been elected as the president and general secretary of the Bangladesh Cholochitra Sangbadik Samity (Bachsas).
The election of Bachsas executive committee for 2022-24 was held in the capital Wednesday.
The other executive committee members are Anjan Rahman and Rashed Rain (vice-presidents), Rahat Saiful, joint general secretary, Sahabuddin Mazumder, finance secretary, Shafiqul Alam Milan, organising secretary, and Rezaur Rahman Rizvi, international and research secretary.

Also, Anjuman Ara Shilpi was picked as social welfare and women affairs secretary, Irani Biswas as culture and sports secretary, Abu Huraira Murad as publicity and publication secretary, and Ahmed Tepantar as office secretary.
Journalists Farid Bashar, Abul Hossain Mazumder, and Erfanul Haque Nahid conducted the election.
Bachsas was founded in 1968. Actress and cultural personality Falguni Hamid served as its last president for the panel 2019-2021.
