Rajshahi: All preparations are completed to celebrate the holy Eid-ul-Azha in the divisional town with due dignity, religious solemnity, and a joyful atmosphere. The main Eid congregation will be held at 7:30 am tomorrow at the Hazrat Shah Makhdum (RA) Central Eidgah Maidan in the city.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, in case of any inclement weather, the Eid prayers will be moved to the Hazrat Shah Makhdum (RA) Dargah Jame Mosque at 8 am. Additionally, Eid prayers will also be arranged at various Eidgahs and mosques across the city. Members of law enforcement agencies will be on duty round-the-clock to ensure security at the Eidgahs and prayer venues.

On the occasion of Eid, the national flag will be hoisted atop all government, semi-government, autonomous, and private buildings. Important government buildings and streets will be decorated with banners and festoons. Initiatives have been taken to serve improved diets at hospitals, jails, orphanages, child centers, and other institutions.

Meanwhile, the Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) has taken special measures for the swift removal of the wastes of sacrificial animals. To protect the environment, RCC has urged city residents to deposit the wastes in designated places rather than litter indiscriminately.

The Eid-ul-Azha prayer will also be held at Rajshahi University Jame Mosque at 7:30 am. Separate entry and a separate pandal have been arranged for female worshippers to participate in the Eid congregation. Female worshippers will enter through the BNCC Gate adjacent to the university’s main gate and will exit by the same route after the prayer.
