Rajshahi: The government has appointed Additional Commissioner (Deputy Inspector General - DIG) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Md Zillur Rahman as commissioner of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP).
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the order, issued in the public interest, will come into effect immediately, as stated in a Home Ministry notification released today. Md Zillur Rahman, DIG, will replace Mohammad Abu Sufian as commissioner of RMP. In the same notification, it was announced that Mohammad Abu Sufian has been transferred to the police headquarters as DIG.
