Rajshahi Board Records Highest Pass Rate While Barishal Lags Behind in SSC Results

Rajshahi: Rajshahi Education Board secured the highest pass rate while Barishal Board recorded the lowest in this year’s SSC and equivalent examinations.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Rajshahi Board topped with a pass rate of 77.63 percent. It was followed by Jashore Board at 73.69 percent, Chattogram at 72.07 percent, Sylhet at 68.57 percent, Dhaka at 67.51 percent, Dinajpur at 67.03 percent, Cumilla at 63.60 percent, and Mymensingh at 58.22 percent. Barishal Board witnessed the lowest pass rate, with only 56.38 percent of students passing the examinations.



The overall pass rate across all boards this year stands at 68.45 percent. This year’s SSC and equivalent exams commenced on April 10 and concluded on May 13, with practical exams taking place between May 15 and 22.



Approximately 19.28 lakh students registered for the exams, marking a decrease of over one lakh compared to the previous year. Out of these, 14,90,142 students registered under nine general education boards, while 2,94,726 registered under the Madrasa Education Board, and 1,43,313 under the Technical Education Board.
