Dhaka: Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has predicted rain or thunder showers in five divisions of the country, including Dhaka, over the next 24 hours starting from 9 a.m. on Monday. The latest Met office bulletin indicates that rain or thunder showers are likely at one or two places over Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions.
According to United News of Bangladesh, a trough of low pressure lies over West Bengal and adjoining areas, while a seasonal low extends over the South Bay, reaching its trough to the Northeast Bay. These conditions may contribute to the weather changes in the specified divisions.
The weather is expected to remain mainly dry with partially cloudy skies in other parts of the country. While the day temperature may remain nearly unchanged, there might be a slight drop in night temperatures across the country.
