Bangladesh: Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecasted that rainfall is expected to persist across the country for the next five days, beginning at 9 am on Saturday, due to fairly active monsoon conditions over Bangladesh.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the BMD's regular bulletin indicates that light to moderate rain or thunder showers, accompanied by temporary gusty winds, are likely to occur in several regions. These include many areas in the Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions, as well as a few places in the Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, and Barishal divisions. Some areas might experience moderately heavy rainfall during this period.
The current weather forecast suggests that day and night temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged throughout the country. A low-pressure area has developed over the Northwest Bay and adjacent areas of West Bengal and North Odisha coasts, with an expected movement towards the West-Northwest.
The axis of the monsoon troughs extends through regions such as Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and the center of the low-pressure area to Assam across the southern part of Bangladesh. The monsoon remains fairly active over Bangladesh and is strong over the North Bay.
