Rain with Temporary Gusty Winds Expected in Various Divisions: BMD

Dhaka: Rain or thundershowers, accompanied by temporary gusty or squally winds, are likely to occur in one or two places across the Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions. A release from the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has indicated that this weather forecast will remain valid for 72 hours, commencing at 9 am today.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the weather report states that day temperatures may remain nearly unchanged, while night temperatures could see a slight decrease across the country. A trough of low pressure currently lies over West Bengal and adjoining areas, with a seasonal low over the South Bay. The Meteorological Office predicts that both day and night temperatures may gradually rise over the next five days.



The BMD recorded yesterday’s maximum temperature at 34.2 degrees Celsius in Sitakunda, located within the Chattogram division, while the minimum temperature today was noted at 17.5 degrees Celsius in Rajarhat, Rangpur Division. In Dhaka, today’s sunset is expected at 06:10 pm, with tomorrow’s sunrise scheduled for 06:00 am.
