Dhaka: The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today forecasted rain with temporary gusty wind at some places in eight divisions for the next 120 hours commencing from 9am today. In a statement, the BMD said, "Rain/thunder showers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions."
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a mild heat wave is sweeping over the districts of Chattogram, Rangamati, Feni, Bandarban, and Bagerhat and it may continue, while day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country. The country's maximum temperature on Saturday was recorded at 31 degrees Celsius in Rangpur and Rajarhat, and the minimum temperature today was recorded at 19 degrees Celsius at Sayedpur and Tetulia.
