Bangladesh: Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today forecast rain or thunder showers in different parts of the country over the next 24 hours, commencing from 9:00 am. A Met office bulletin issued this morning indicated that light to moderate rain or thunder showers, accompanied by temporary gusty or squally winds and lightning flashes, are likely to occur at a few places over Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions, and at one or two places over Rangpur and Barishal divisions.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the bulletin also stated that moderately heavy to heavy rainfall may occur at places over Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions. The Met office mentioned a trough of low pressure that persists from West Bengal to the North Bay, contributing to these weather conditions.

The forecast suggests that day temperatures may rise slightly, while night temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged across the country. In Dhaka, the sun will set at 6:25 pm today and rise at 5:22 am tomorrow. The highest temperature on Sunday was recorded at 34.5 degrees Celsius in Khulna, while today's minimum temperature was 19.5 degrees Celsius in Dimla, Rangpur, and Sylhet.
