Rain Forecasted to Hit Parts of Bangladesh, Says Meteorological Department

Dhaka: Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today forecasted that rain would occur in different parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing from 9 am. “Rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind and lightning flashes is likely to occur at one or two places over Dhaka, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions with hails at isolated places and weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country,” a Met office bulletin stated.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the day and night temperatures may rise slightly over the country. The highest temperature was recorded on Thursday at 36.5 degrees Celsius in Kumarkhali under Khulna division, while today’s minimum temperature was 20.6 degrees Celsius in Dimla under Rangpur division. The sun is expected to set at 6.21 pm today and rise at 5.35 am tomorrow in Dhaka.
