Rain Forecasted to Affect Several Bangladesh Divisions

Bangladesh: The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today forecasted rain in different parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9 am. "Light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions and at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions," said a Met office bulletin issued this morning.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, moderately heavy to heavy falls may occur at places over the country during this period. The department also noted that the day temperature may remain nearly unchanged, while the night temperature may fall slightly across the country. The highest temperature on Tuesday was recorded at 36.4 degrees Celsius in Rajarhat, whereas today's minimum temperature stood at 24.3 degrees Celsius in Sylhet.

In the last 24 hours, ending at 6 am today, Chattogram experienced the highest rainfall, receiving 37 millimeters. For residents in Dhaka, the sun sets at 6.34 pm today and will rise again at 5.33 am tomorrow.
