Dhaka: Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today forecasted rain in different parts of the country in next 24 hours commencing from 9 am.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a Met office bulletin issued this morning stated that “Rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty/squally wind and lightning flashes is likely to occur at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna and Sylhet divisions.” The forecast highlights the potential for inclement weather in specific regions, urging residents to prepare accordingly.
The BMD also noted that weather may remain mainly dry elsewhere over the country, indicating a mix of weather conditions across different areas. Additionally, day and night temperatures may rise slightly over the country, suggesting a potential warming trend.
The highest temperature on Thursday was recorded at 34.8 degrees Celsius in Jashore and Chandpur, while today’s minimum temperature is 19.8 degrees Celsius in Jashore. Residents in these areas experienced a notable temperature range, reflecting the varied climatic conditions within the country.
For residents in Dhaka, the sun is expected to set at 6.31 pm today and rise at 5.19 am tomorrow, providing a clear indication of daylight hours for planning activities.
