Bangladesh: The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today forecasted rain in different parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing 9 am. "Light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions and at many places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions," said a Met office bulletin issued this morning.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the bulletin also mentioned that moderately heavy to heavy falls may occur at places across the country. Additionally, day and night temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged nationwide. The highest temperature recorded on Wednesday was 34.5 degrees Celsius in Chandpur, while today's minimum temperature is 23.7 degrees Celsius in Sylhet.
In the last 24 hours, up until 6 am today, Khepupara experienced the highest rainfall with 135 millimeters. The bulletin also noted that the sun sets at 6:15 pm today and rises at 5:41 am tomorrow in Dhaka.
