Dhaka: Bangladesh Meteorological Department today predicted rain or thundershowers with temporary gusty wind over the country in the next 24 hours commencing 9 am.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, ‘light to moderate rain/thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Dhaka, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions and at many places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at places over the country,’ said a Met office bulletin issued this morning.
Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country, the bulletin said. The highest temperature on Monday was recorded at 34 degrees Celsius in Madaripur, while today’s minimum temperature was 21.6 degrees Celsius in Tangail.
The sun sets at 6:39 pm today and rises at 5:30 am tomorrow in the capital.
