Rain and Thundershowers Forecasted Across Bangladesh

Dhaka: Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today predicted that rain or thundershowers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty wind may occur at different parts of the country in the next 24 hours, commencing 9 am today.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Met office bulletin issued this morning indicated that rain or thundershowers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions. Additionally, a mild heat wave is sweeping over the districts of Gopalgonj, Pabna, Sirajganj, Jashore, and Patuakhali, which may abate.

The bulletin further mentioned that the day temperature may fall by 1-2 degrees Celsius, and the night temperature may fall slightly across the country. On Sunday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 37.4 degrees Celsius in Jashore, located in Khulna division, while the minimum temperature today was recorded at 19.4 degrees Celsius in Rangpur, Sayedpur, and Rajarhat in Rangpur division.

The sun is expected to set at 6:26 pm today and rise at 5:26 am tomorrow in the capital.
