Dhaka: The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has issued a forecast indicating rain or thunder showers accompanied by lightning flashes and temporary gusty winds over parts of the country in the next 24 hours, commencing from 9:00 am today. The forecast highlights potential weather changes affecting several regions across Bangladesh.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the BMD bulletin released earlier this morning specifies that rain or thunder showers are likely to occur in a few places within the Rajshahi, Dhaka, and Khulna divisions. Meanwhile, isolated occurrences are expected in the Rangpur, Mymensingh, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions.
Weatherman Dr. Muhammad Abul Kalam Mallik has predicted that the day and night temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged across the country. Notably, the highest temperature recorded on Monday was 36.0 degrees Celsius in Koyra, Khulna division, and Patuakhali, Barisal division. In contrast, the lowest temperature today was 19.4 degrees Celsius in Sayedpur, Rangpur division.
For residents in the capital, the sun is anticipated to set at 6:26 pm today and rise at 5:25 am tomorrow, providing a brief respite from the predicted weather conditions.
