Gazipur: A railway police officer sustained injuries after being struck by a train at Joydebpur Rail Station in Gazipur district. The incident occurred on Thursday.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the injured officer has been identified as Sub-Inspector Habib. Md Kaiyum Ali, the officer-in-charge of Joydebpur Railway Police Outpost, reported that the accident happened on line No. 4 at the station. SI Habib was reportedly talking on his mobile phone while walking along the railway track when a train hit him, resulting in his injuries.
OC Ali confirmed that SI Habib’s right arm and right leg were severed in the accident. Following the incident, he was initially taken to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital. He was later transferred to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for further treatment.
