Chapainawabganj: Train communication on the Rahanpur-Rajshahi route in Chapainawabganj, which remained suspended as four wagons of an oil-laden train derailed at Amnura Railway Junction, resumed after nine hours on Thursday.

According to United News of Bangladesh, Hasibul Hasan, the Station Master of Amnura Railway Junction, reported that the train was transporting oil from Khulna to the Amnura Power Plant. The incident occurred when the train reached Amnura Junction, leading to four wagons veering off the tracks around 4:45 am, which disrupted train movement on the Rohanpur-Rajshahi route.

A relief train from Ishwardi Railway Junction arrived at the scene around 10 am and successfully salvaged the derailed train by 2:15 pm. Subsequently, the train communication on the route was restored around 2:15 pm, as confirmed by Station Master Hasibul.
