Rahmatganj and Police FC Draw in Bangladesh Football League Clash

Gazipur: Rahmatganj Muslim and Friends Society split points with ten-man Bangladesh Police Football Club as their match concluded in a 1-1 draw in the ninth and final round of the first phase of the Bangladesh Football League (BFL) at Shaheed Barkat Stadium.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the match saw an early breakthrough for Rahmatganj when Gambian midfielder King Solomon scored in the 16th minute by converting a penalty. However, Police FC’s Brazilian forward, Paulo Henrique, managed to equalize just before halftime in the 45th minute.



In the second half, both teams had opportunities to increase their lead but failed to capitalize, resulting in a shared point at the end of the match. As a result of this outcome, Rahmatganj finished the first phase in third place on the league table with 15 points from nine matches. Meanwhile, Police FC is just behind Rahmatganj, securing 14 points from an equal number of matches.
