Dhaka: Attorney General (AG) Md. Asaduzzaman today expressed confidence that the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) will meet public expectations through their dedicated efforts and adherence to the law. “RAB will fulfill the public aspirations through cultivating humanity, showing respect to the law and performing the responsibility vested upon them with utmost sincerity and good works,” he stated.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, AG Asaduzzaman made these remarks while serving as the chief guest at a seminar organized by RAB. The event, held at the force’s headquarters in the capital’s Uttara, aimed to provide a comprehensive understanding of ‘conventional law, public expectations and what RAB should do’. He noted RAB’s past contributions to maintaining law and order and restoring public peace, emphasizing the importance of continuing these efforts.
The attorney general highlighted the do’s and don’ts crucial to the force’s daily activities and expressed hope that RAB’s ongoing dedication will further strengthen public trust. In his address, he also discussed strategies to tackle the challenges of meeting public expectations.
In addition to the seminar, RAB conducted a training workshop on Artificial Intelligence (AI) at its headquarters. This workshop aimed to enhance the force members’ understanding of AI. Assistant Professor Maliha Tabassum from the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism at Bangladesh University of Professionals was the keynote speaker. She covered the basic concepts, applications, and future potential of AI during the session.
The events saw the participation of senior officers, directors, and commanders of RAB, along with officers from all battalions in Dhaka. Officers from other battalions joined the programs through virtual platforms.
