Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested a fugitive accused in a kidnap-rape case from city's Uttara area.
The accused was identified as M Nuruzzaman alias Nuru, 25, son of late Asgar Ali, hailed from Rangpur.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of the anti-crime force raided Uttara sector-12 under Uttara-west police station around 8.30pm on Sunday and arrested him, said RAB-1 senior police super Noman Ahmed.
Nuru was fugitive accused in the Kidnap-rape case filled with Mithapukur police station in Rangpur district, said Ahmed, also the RAB assistant director.
