Rajshahi: Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) Administrator Mahfuzur Rahman Riton announced today that following the Prime Minister’s directive, the city corporation is set to remove sacrificial animal waste and clean the city within a time frame of 6 to 8 hours.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Prime Minister, Tarique Rahman, has mandated all city corporations in the country to clear sacrificial waste within 12 hours. Riton emphasized the need for cooperation from city residents to successfully execute this task. He also highlighted that under RCC management, preparations for Eid prayers are being finalized at six Eidgahs, including the Central Eidgah.
Riton revealed that the Prime Minister has allocated Tk 5,000 to each of the RCC’s 1,237 cleaners as an Eid gift. This gesture is intended to honor the cleaners, acknowledge their efforts, and motivate them in their work. The gifts were distributed among the cleaners on Monday.
In preparation for the holy Eid-ul-Azha, Riton inspected the arrangements at the Hazrat Shah Makhdum (RA) Central Eidgah and other Eidgahs. He visited the Rajshahi Central Eidgah and Tikapara Eidgah ground at noon to oversee the final-stage preparations.
During his inspection, Riton was accompanied by RCC Chief Executive Officer Md. Rezaul Karim, Superintending Engineer Ahmad Al Moin, other officials, BNP leaders, leaders of affiliated and associate organizations, and other dignitaries.
