Awami League General Secretary today expressed
deep shock and sorrow at the death of the country’s war-time national flag
designer and valiant freedom fighter Shib Narayan Das.
In a condolence message, Quader, also Road Transport and Bridges minister,
prayed for salvation of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the
bereaved family.
Shib Narayan Das, who had designed the first flag of Bangladesh just before
the independence, died of respiratory ailment at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib
Medical University (BSMMU) here this morning at the age of 78.
