Qatari Minister of Labour Visits Dhaka for Bilateral Cooperation Talks

Dhaka: Qatari Minister of Labour Dr Ali bin Saeed bin Samikh Al Marri arrived in Dhaka on Sunday afternoon, marking the beginning of a two-day official visit aimed at enhancing cooperation between Qatar and Bangladesh. The visit underscores the commitment of both nations to strengthen their bilateral relations.



According to United News of Bangladesh, Dr Al Marri was received at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport by Humaiun Kobir, the Adviser for Foreign Affairs to the Prime Minister. The visit is expected to focus on discussions surrounding labour and employment opportunities, alongside exploring further avenues of collaboration between the two countries.



In related developments, the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Bangladesh, Saree bin Ali Al Qahtani, recently participated in a meeting with Prime Minister Tarique Rahman. This meeting included Ambassadors from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) countries accredited to Bangladesh. The discussions highlighted the OIC member states’ congratulations to Prime Minister Rahman on his new role, and emphasized the significance of reinforcing joint cooperation among the countries.
