Qatari Labour Minister Discusses Bilateral Cooperation with Bangladesh PM

Dhaka: Qatari Minister of Labour Dr Ali bin Saeed bin Samikh Al Marri paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Sunday evening, engaging in discussions on bilateral issues between Bangladesh and Qatar. The meeting, characterized as a courtesy call, focused on matters of mutual interest, as confirmed by Prime Minister’s Additional Press Secretary, Atikur Rahman Rumon.



According to United News of Bangladesh, the Prime Minister hosted a dinner for the visiting Qatari minister following the discussions. The meeting was attended by Prime Minister’s Foreign Affairs Adviser Humaiun Kobir and Qatari Ambassador Braik Saeed Al-Samikh, highlighting the significance of the visit for both nations.



Earlier in the day, Dr Ali bin Saeed bin Samikh Al Marri arrived in Dhaka for a two-day official visit, reflecting the countries’ intent to strengthen cooperation. During his visit, he is expected to engage in further discussions with officials from the Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, aiming to explore and enhance collaborative efforts.
