Chattogram: A tragic motorcycle collision has claimed the life of a Qatar expatriate, Md. Solaiman, aged 35, in Chattogram city. Solaiman, who had returned home for a two-month vacation after spending approximately 18 years abroad, met with the fatal accident late Sunday night.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Solaiman was the son of Moniruzzaman from Abdullah Bari in the Paschim Barumchhara area of Anwara upazila. The accident was reported by Baklia Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Solaiman, who confirmed that the collision occurred around 10:30 pm near the New Fisherighat Bridge.
Solaiman was reportedly on his way home when his motorcycle collided head-on with another motorcycle in the vicinity. The impact left him with severe injuries, and despite the prompt response from locals who rushed him to Chittagong Medical College Hospital, medical professionals declared him dead upon arrival.
The Officer-in-Charge further stated that appropriate legal procedures are being undertaken following the incident.
