Dhaka:International Crimes Tribunal Prosecutor Gazi MH Tamim has asserted that the prosecution has successfully proven all charges against Major General (dismissed) Ziaul Ahsan in a case concerning the enforced disappearance and murder of over 100 people.

According to United News of Bangladesh, Tamim addressed the media during a press briefing at the ICT premises, indicating that the prosecution's case was solidified by the testimony of 15 witnesses. The investigating officer, Md Rafiqul Islam, partially testified on Wednesday, with his testimony set to continue on Sunday.

Once the testimony of the investigating officer is completed, the prosecution will conclude its evidence presentation. The defense will then have the opportunity to present its witnesses, followed by the argument stage.

Tamim emphasized that every charge against Ziaul Ahsan has been substantiated beyond reasonable doubt through witness testimonies. The investigation officer has detailed the methods of investigation, including recorded statements, site visits, and evidence collection.

Several Army officers, including former Army chief General Iqbal Karim Bhuiyan, have provided testimony in the case. Their accounts covered Ahsan's alleged activities and involvement in crimes against humanity, and described how former Rapid Action Battalion officials allegedly became implicated in these crimes.
