Prof Anu Muhammad shifted to national burn institute for better treatment

Retired Professor of the Department of Economics at Jahangirnagar University (JU) Anu Muhammad, who suffered serious leg injuries due to a train accident in the capital, has been shifted to Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery (SHNIBPS) in the city this afternoon for advanced medical care. After shifting to the institute, a board meeting was held at 1pm to discuss his treatment. The meeting was attended, among others, by Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Samanta Lal Sen, Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) Director Brigadier General M Asaduzzaman and other physicians of the hospital. "Anu Muhammad was undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH)...He has been shifted to the Burn and Plastic Institute for further treatment after carrying out necessary diagnosis," the Health Minister said while briefing the Journalists at the hospital. After coming back to the capital from Dinajpur by a train, Prof Anu Muhammad received serious leg injuries on Sunday (Apri l 21) while getting down from the train at the city's Khilgaon area.
