Sajek: The five-member probe committee visited Sajek Valley, where a massive fire broke out and gutted nearly 100 resorts, restaurants, and houses in the vale, a popular tourist destination in Rangamati’s Baghaichhari upazila.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the committee members visited Ruilui Para, which was severely gutted by the fire, and collected different evidence from the scene. During the visit, the committee convener, Deputy Director of Local Government Division Md Mobarak Hossain, and member secretary, Baghaichhari Upazila Nirbahi Officer Shirin Akther, among others, were present. Mobarak Hossain expressed hope that they could submit their report and recommendations within the stipulated timeframe.
