Rajshahi: Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) Administrator Mahfuzur Rahman Riton praised Prime Minister Tarique Rahman for his relentless efforts in building a new Bangladesh. He emphasized that the Prime Minister is not only envisioning dreams but is actively transforming them into reality, propelling the nation towards development, progress, and prosperity.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, these remarks were made by Mahfuzur Rahman during a prasad distribution and discussion meeting at Omorpur Puja Mandir in Ward No. 17 of Rajshahi city. The meeting marked the conclusion of a month-long religious kirtan program. The RCC Administrator highlighted the Prime Minister’s directive to advance the development of religious institutions, including mosques and temples.
Mahfuzur Rahman further stated his commitment to not just making promises but ensuring their implementation, urging the community to work together for the advancement of Rajshahi city. He assured the Omorpur Puja Mandir Committee of support for infrastructure development, including the construction of the temple’s main gate and improvements to the adjacent road and drainage system.
The meeting, presided over by Deepak Lahiri Swapan, advisor to the Omorpur Puja Mandir Committee, also featured special guests such as Nasim Khan, member secretary of Shah Makhdum Thana BNP, and Mohir Uddin Kalu, president of the Metropolitan Rickshaw Union. Other notable attendees included Almas, former president of Shah Makhdum Thana Sramik Dal, Meher Ali, president of Ward No. 17 BNP, alongside local leaders and dignitaries.
