Shahbagh:The Prime Minister, Tarique Rahman, participated as the chief guest in a discussion held to commemorate the 27th founding anniversary of the Ziaur Rahman Foundation (ZRF). The event was held at the Shaheed Abu Sayed International Convention Centre in Shahbagh this evening.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the ceremony featured notable attendees including ZRF Vice-President Dr. Zubaida Rahman and BNP Acting Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, who were present as special guests. Prof Dr Morshed Hasan Khan, director of the foundation and convener of the anniversary celebration committee, gave the welcome address at the event, which was presided over by ZRF Executive Director Prof Dr Farhad Halim.
The programme commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by a video documentary showcasing the foundation's charitable activities. Attendees included Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed, Social Welfare Minister Prof. Dr. Abu Zafar Md. Zahid Hossain, Food Minister Afroza Khanam, and State Minister for Land Mir Mohammed Helal Uddin. The event was moderated by Prof Dr Sarkar Mahbub Ahmed Shamim, member secretary of the committee.
