Primary Students to Receive New Books in January: Bidhan

Netrakona: Primary and Mass Education Adviser Bidhan Ranjon Ray Podder announced today that the government is set to provide new books to primary school students at the beginning of January. “Tender process for printing the primary school books is on progress.all the books would be handed over to students at the beginning of January,” he stated during a media interaction after visiting the Bairaura government primary school in Netrakona sadar upazila.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the adviser expressed satisfaction with the students’ attendance and the teachers’ performance. He urged district and upazila administrations to collaborate with guardians to boost student attendance, particularly in the haor regions.



After his school visits in Kendua and Sadar upazila, Bidhan Ranjon attended a ‘Shraddhanusthan’ at the residence of the late eminent writer and intellectual, Professor Jatin Sarkar, in Satpay, Netrakona. During his visit, he paid tributes to the legendary writer.



Addressing a function at Professor Jatin Sarkar’s residence, the adviser highlighted initiatives aimed at enhancing education standards and encouraging guardians to enroll their children in government schools. Among those present at the event were Netrakona Deputy Commissioner Banani Biswas, Police Superintendent Mirza Sayem Mahmud, and Planning and Development Officer of the Primary Education Directorate Fazle Elahi, along with other district officials.
