Tangail: The Primary School Gold Cup Football tournament has commenced at Shaheed Maruf Stadium in Tangail, under the banner "Let's change the country, change the world". The event saw Deputy Commissioner of Tangail, Sharifa Haque, inaugurate the tournament as the chief guest by releasing balloons.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the opening ceremony was organized by the District Primary Education Office and featured several notable attendees. Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Sanjay Kumar Mohanto and District Education Officer Md. Sahab Uddin were present as special guests. Other distinguished guests included Tangail District Sports Association Former General Secretary Advocate Ali Imam Tapan and District Sports Officer Md. Afaz Uddin.
The event was attended by Tangail District Cricket Coach Arafat Rahman, sports organiser Shah Aziz Talukder Bappi, along with other sports organisers, players, teachers from various primary schools in the district, as well as participating students and their parents. The tournament will culminate with a prize distribution ceremony for both boys' and girls' categories on January 20.
