Press Council Nepal has provided financial assistance to a journalist in Dhankuta district undergoing treatment of brain related complications.
Santosh Subedi, who is currently working with an online news portal- Sangalo Khabar-was provided with Rs 15,000 for his treatment.
Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS)’s General-Manager Siddha Raj Rai handed over the cheque bearing the amount to journalists Subedi on Monday.
The cheque was handed over in the presence of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) Dhankuta chapter Chairperson Nagendra Rai and FNJ central member Sarita Baraili.
RSS GM Rai read out the Council’s message of best wishes to journalist Subedi for his good health.
On the occasion, Rai donated over two dozen of books to the library being established by the FNJ Dhankuta chapter.
