Dhaka: President Mohammed Shahabuddin today returned to Dhaka after concluding a four-day visit to his hometown, Pabna. A VVIP Air Force helicopter carrying the President landed in Dhaka at approximately 11:50 am, as reported by President’s press secretary Md Sarwar Alam to BSS this afternoon.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the President was accompanied by his wife, Dr. Rebeka Sultana, along with family members and secretaries from Bangabhaban during the trip. This marked his fourth visit to Pabna and the first since the new BNP government, led by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, assumed office.
During his time in Pabna, President Shahabuddin engaged in discussions with local business leaders, journalists at the Pabna Press Club, and the district’s judges and lawyers. He also observed several development projects in the area. In addition, he paid respects at Arifpur Central Graveyard, where his parents and other family members are buried.
Before his departure, the President was seen off at the Pabna Cadet College Ground Helipad by the divisional commissioner, police officials, senior local administration members, and notable local personalities.
