President Mourns the Loss of Journalist Toufique Imrose Khalidi

Dhaka:President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir expressed deep sorrow and shock over the passing of Toufique Imrose Khalidi, the editor-in-chief and publisher of bdnews24.com.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the President conveyed his condolences in a message, praying for peace for the departed soul and expressing his heartfelt sympathy to Khalidi's family.

The President acknowledged Khalidi's pioneering role in advancing online and digital journalism in the country, highlighting the loss of a respected and accomplished media figure. He emphasized that Khalidi's contributions to journalism would be remembered for many years.

Sharing personal reminiscences of Khalidi, the President noted that his death was a personal loss and a source of profound sadness and grief.

Toufique Imrose Khalidi, a renowned journalist, passed away at the age of 59 due to a brain hemorrhage at a hospital in London.
