Dhaka: President Mohammed Shahabuddin has extended heartfelt greetings to the people of the country and the Muslim Ummah across the world on the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Azha, calling for the practice of sacrifice and humanity.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Head of State emphasized that Eid-ul-Azha is not only one of the biggest religious festivals for Muslims but also a symbol of sacrifice, self-purification, and humanity. He highlighted the supreme sacrifice and obedience demonstrated by Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) and Hazrat Ismail (AS), noting that their ideals continue to inspire mankind to uphold faith, patience, and devotion to the Almighty Allah.
The President remarked that the distribution of sacrificial meat among relatives, neighbors, and the poor strengthens compassion, brotherhood, and social harmony. He also pointed out that the festival contributes to the national economy.
President Shahabuddin urged people to maintain cleanliness and a healthy environment through proper waste management. He also called upon the affluent sections of society to share the joy of Eid with underprivileged and distressed people.
