President Emphasizes Innovation and Skills for Economic Growth

Dhaka:President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has highlighted productivity as a crucial pillar for the economic advancement, competitiveness, and enhancement of living standards in the country. He stressed the importance of boosting productivity to ensure the optimal use of limited resources, improve product quality, reduce production costs, decrease wastage, and enhance competitiveness in international markets. His remarks were made in a message marking National Productivity Day-2026.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, President Alamgir extended greetings to all individuals working in the production and service sectors, including workers, entrepreneurs, professionals, technologists, and researchers. He noted the need for the country's industrial and service sectors to become more efficient, innovative, and technology-driven, especially in light of the ever-changing global economic environment shaped by science and information technology.

The President acknowledged the significant contributions of small, micro, and medium entrepreneurs to employment generation, industrialization, and economic activities alongside large industrial entrepreneurs. He emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts among the government, industrial entrepreneurs, workers, researchers, educational institutions, and all relevant stakeholders.

He expressed hope that the National Productivity Organization will continue to offer necessary training, research, consultancy, and technical support to enhance productivity in the country's industrial and service sectors. President Alamgir looks forward to Bangladesh building a more productive, competitive, and sustainable industrial economy through sustainable innovation, modern technology, and skilled human resources. He also wished success to all the programs planned for the day.
